STLWS/Norton’s Fine Art & Framing Rotating Exhibition

We are happy to announce that we have found a replacement for showing our paintings at CJ Muggs.  Norton’s Fine Art & Framing has agreed to reserve a wall at their gallery for us.  We have been allotted an 8’ high x 15’ long wall, which will hold around 15 paintings, depending on their size.  We will also be allowed bins for unframed paintings.

The first 15 people to register online will be selected to participate in the current exhibition.  Those 15 people will be allowed to bring 1 framed painting for the wall and up to 2 unframed paintings or giclee prints for the bin sale. If you are not one of the first 15 then you will be placed on a wait list and will be selected first on the next rotation.

Framed paintings must be original water media artwork, securely and appropriately framed with a mat of any color or floated on mat board, and under unscratched acrylic/Plexiglas or glass, with screw-eyes or D-rings and wire, adequate for hanging weight (no saw tooth hangers). There will be a maximum size of 32” on the longest side of the framed artwork.

All unframed paintings for the bin sale must be matted, encased in an acetate sleeve, and no larger than 16” x 20”.  Any color mat is acceptable.  Artwork may be original or a giclee print.

All paintings framed or unframed, need to have a card affixed to the back with the title, price, and artist’s name.

We will change our displays every month or every other month and members will receive an email notice of upcoming exhibitions.  Norton’s will take a 30% commission on all paintings sold.  Norton’s will notify us when a painting is sold and we will contact the artist. Checks will be mailed directly to the artist from Norton’s.

If a framed painting is sold, the exhibiting artist will be asked if they would like to bring another framed painting to the gallery for the exhibition.  If the exhibiting artist passes on this offer, the next person on the wait list will be contacted and asked to bring 1 framed painting and up to 2 unframed paintings for the bin sale to the gallery for exhibition. The replacement framed painting needs to be a size that works for the existing exhibit.
