After having frigid temperatures and snow, our temperatures warmed to 58 degrees which allowed another STLWS plein air event in Tilles Park on Tuesday, February 23rd. It was glorious with about 15 people in attendance. Everyone had a good time and were grateful to be able to get outside and safely paint with other people.
On January 13th the sun came out and the temperatures warmed into the mid 50s so the Saint Louis Watercolor Society invited their members to come out and paint plein air at The Muny. Due to the pandemic, the Saint Louis Watercolor Society did not hold their traditional holiday party. Instead they invited members to gather at a ZOOM meeting on December 9th and share winter themed paintings. On Friday, November 20th, the STLWS plein air painters took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather and met at The Muny in Forest Park. Although the day was overcast the lovely fall scenery was a delight to paint. Here are some photos of their outing.
