- August 19, 7 p.m. – Meet and Greet at Llewelyn’s Pub, 17 Moody Ave, Webster Groves, MO 63119. We will have a short business meeting at 7 p.m. then relax and enjoy conversation with each other afterwards. Members will pay for their refreshments.
- Sept. 2, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Des Peres Park, 12325 Manchester Rd., Des Peres, MO 6313. The park map shows an entrance off both Ballas and Manchester. We will meet in the pavillion to the east of the playground at 12:15 p.m. for Throw-Down. Let’s bring a light lunch/snack and stay for sharing after the Throw-Down.
- Sept. 9, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Saint Louis Zoo, 1 Government Drive, 63110. If you wish to meet up with others at 9:30, we will be at the benches in front of the Butterfly Entrance. For Throw-Down, 12:15 p.m., we will meet in the cafe space (the cafe is usually closed) just east of the Butterfly House. If your schedule permits, bring a light lunch and stay for sharing.
- Sept. 10, 1 – 4 p.m. – Fall 2026 Open Studio Painting Session #1 at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild.
- Sep. 16, 7 p.m. – membership meeting DVD Watch Party with hands on activity – details to come.
- September 16, 9:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.: Gore Street, Webster Groves. Let’s paint along Gore Street because of the variety of painting sites. There are several interesting storefronts, the sculptures in the garden and across the street from the Sculpture Garden are two views of a stream with rocky creek bed. We will meet outside Telva at the Ridge for Throw-Down. Those that wish will stay for Telva’s creative sandwiches, snacks, desserts and/or drinks and share art ideas.
- Sept. 17, 1 – 4 p.m. – Fall 2026 Open Studio Painting Session #1 at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild.
- Sept. 23, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Tower Grove Park. Paint whatever you wish and meet at the Lily Pond Shelter, just west of the Lily Pond, at 12:15 for Throw-Down. Again, stay for socializing after.
- Sep. 24, 1 – 4 p.m. – Fall 2026 Open Studio Painting Session #1 at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild.
- Sept 25 – online entry for STLWS 29th Annual Membership Awards Exhibition – Big Splash 2026opens. Go to stlws.org, Exhibits tab and select Call for Entries.
- Sept. 30, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: World Bird Sanctuary,125 Bald Eagle Ridge Rd, Valley Park 63088. The entrance fee is $5 per person. Enjoy strolling and painting the birds. If you wish for other scenery, there is a wooden deck/lookout at the end of the bird street. We will meet at the picnic tables between the parked cars at 12:15 for Throw-Down

- Oct. 3, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Essentials of Watercolor Series, Mary Riney Workshop – The Elements of Landscape Painting, at the First Congregational Church of Webster Groves, 10 West Lockwood Ave., Webster Groves, MO.
- Oct. 7, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Plein Air Event at Des Peres Park, 12325 Manchester Rd., Des Peres 63131. Google Des Peres Park website and search maps. Des Peres Park Map gives you a great grounds map for entrance, parking and park facilities. We will meet at the Pavillion. Throw-down will be at 12:15 p.m. There are picnic tables so join us for lunch afterwards.

- Oct. 14, Plein Air is cancelled due to other STLWS activities. STLWS Annual Fall Retreat on Oct. 15 at Pere Marquette Lodge and the St. Louis Symphony Tour and Plain Air event, led by Russ Vanderbeek on Saturday, Oct. 17.
- Oct. 15, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. – STLWS Fall 2026 Retreat at Pere Marquette Lodge & Conference Center, Grafton, IL. Click here for registration form. Pay online under the STLWS SHOP tab. Deadline to register is October 9, 2026.
- Oct. 15, 1 – 4 p.m. – Fall 2026 Open Studio Painting Session #1 at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild.
- Oct. 21, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Plein Air Event at Stuckmeyers Farm market, 249 Schneider Dr., Fenton, MO 63026. We have been invited to paint at Stuckmeyers through Fran Kempin’s contact. There are no fees or restrictions except staying out of the way of the farm equipment. There are beautiful flower arrangements in pots, greenhouse vignettes, pumpkins and an outdoor area of Halloween decorations and structure. Throw-down will be at 12:15 p.m. at the patio tables. Purchase produce or bring a lunch for sharing time after Throw-down.
