Exploration, Expression and Ex…treme Excitement!
“Giggle” received a special award in the International exhibition of the Missouri Watercolor Society that took place in St. Louis in from Feb. 1 to Mar. 31, 2025.

Hope your 2025 has been full of creativity, excitement and plenty of giggles! The painting above sums up what I feel we must remember to do through life. There is beauty, joy and humor everywhere if we just remember to look for it. Thank you to my wonderful muse, Kate, who provided the spontaneous giggle that inspired this painting.
Speaking of expressions, my workshop in Springfield, MO at Splatter Studio, “Impressions and Expressions” in Watercolor will take place June 18, 19, and 20th. The workshop is just about full at this point so if you are unable to register, please let me know if you would like to join the wait list. The workshop will focus on human faces, painted expressively, of course!
I would also like to announce that I now have another International workshop scheduled for May of 2026 that will take place on the Mediterranean shores of Costa Brava, Spain! In May of 2026, lets immerse ourselves in the sun-dappled beauty of the Costa Brava on an 8-day travel painting vacation! The trip begins and ends in Barcelona where we’ll be picked up by our tour leaders and brought right to our location on the shores of northern Spain. We’ll paint, sight-see, and breathe in the amazing experience together.
