Connie Schmidt’s watercolor of Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park titled Waiting for Moose received two awards – Honorable Mention and Mayor’s Award in the Estes Valley Plein Air event. The exhibition opening and awards reception was on Aug. 26. The juried event included 35 artists from across the country, working in watercolor, pastel, or oil painting.
