We are inviting artists to participate in our 3rd annual Plein Air Festival, a painting competition sponsored by U City in Bloom. This will take place on Sunday, September 23, will be featuring the gardens at the historic U City High School, Jackson Park school, Mooney, Lewis and Heman Parks. The neighborhoods in the area: Hanley to Pennsylvania, and Delmar to Olive, some unique architecture, homes and gardens. Following the afternoon judging, winners will be announced and honored at a reception at the U City Community Center, 975 Pennsylvania, U City.
First, second, and third place winners will receive cash prizes, and the opportunity to be the featured artists in the October gallery show in the University City Public Library. The show will include a reception, and sales will be encouraged.
Please register by September 5, send a picture and your contact information to be in the souvenir booklet that will be distributed to all guests at the September 23 reception, and in the Library Gallery.
