The Saint Louis Watercolor Society members are invited to a special viewing on November 21 of watercolors from the collection at the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum on the Washington University campus. These paintings are rarely on display. We will have a viewing room separate from the main gallery where we will be able to study the paintings up close. A museum education specialist will be available to provide some information about the artists and the paintings. Included in this viewing will be works by Raoul Dufy, John Singer Sargent, Ernst Wilhelm Nay, Maurice Prendergast, Richard Kendall, Maurice Freedman, Anton Mauve and more.
The room can accommodate 16 people. If there are more who sign up we will break into two groups. One group can visit the exhibition in the galleries while the other is viewing the watercolors.
Please RSVP by email to Beck Dale at bdale@wustl.edu by Friday, November 18th.
Date/Time: Monday, November 21, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. viewing.
Address: One Brookings Drive, Washington University campus, 63130.

Instructions: Meet in the main hall of the museum. There is metered parking on Brookings Drive
and metered parking in the lots to the east and west of the museum building.
Lunch: There are lots of good restaurants close to campus if the group wants to have lunch together. Let me know in your rsvp if you would like to go to lunch after the viewing.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Becky, This is such a great opportunity! I’m disappointed that I’ll be out of town on Monday, 11/21. Sadly coincidental, my sister Annie Schuchart is out of town as well. If another viewing (or any similar opportunity) is ever scheduled please keep me/us in mind. Thanks for including me & the entire Stl WS in this event. Hope we’ll see each other again soon.
