Acrylics as Watercolor with Linda Wilmes ~
Friday, Jan. 22, 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. Cost $35
Watercolor techniques will be used on paper with acrylic paints, to achieve the transparency of the acrylics for beautiful glowing paintings. Leaving the white of the paper untouched, during the painting process will achieve strong contrast of color value. The instructor will demonstrate each application and explain the many aspects of creating a good painting, color theory, value, composition and the importance of color temperature. Students will leave with a painting ready to frame!

DAVEN ANDERSON
CLASSES: Regular Tuesday and Thursday evening classes continue – 6 pm to 9:15 pm. New students need not bring anything the first two classes – and you can step into class any class evening. $175 for six classes – Saturdays, as always, are free for current students – and classes need not be consecutive – take a break, go on vacation, etc & resume where you left off.
WORKSHOPS: I’m restarting one Saturday a month classes on a particular watercolor subject or challenge. Each Saturday’s special class will cost $69 and include lunch. Class size is limited so an email is REQUIRED if you would like to attend.
Sat, February 20th 9am to 4pm WATER and WAVES In the morning we will concentrate on and paint rushing and still water. Instruction will focus on water movement and its causes, turbulence, foam and spray, rocks, watery hues, etc. In the afternoon we will paint a wave(s) again focusing on water movement and its causes, wave action, foam and spray hues and the techniques needed to capture the movement, etc.
I would like your input on the subject matter for other Saturday workshops – portraits, trees, urban landscapes, architecture, seascapes, etc.
I would appreciate it if new students would advise me if they would like to start and when. Also, I need to know if you are planning to attend a Saturday Class – space is limited and registration is REQUIRED.
