Rare Opportunity: In-Studio Negative Painting Workshop
By request, this unadvertised two-day workshop will meet from 9am to 3:30pm each day, Thursday and Friday, February 15-16, 2024, in my studio.
Minimum 4, maximum 8 students. (Only two spots left!)
Simply reply to this email for more information or to register.
If you’ve been painting for awhile and still have trouble grasping the concept of negative painting, this watercolor workshop is for you!
You will not be painting flowers and leaves or any “thing,” instead you will learn to paint the space around the flowers and leaves, creating glowing blooms, foliage and layers of depth through multiple glazes…
Negative Painting is a skill that will take your watercolors to the next level!
NEXT LEVEL WATERCOLOR
Next Level Watercolor classes are designed for the intermediate student who would like to take his or her art to the next level.
Students will bring a project of their choice to work on (at any stage of development) in order to receive personalized direction and feedback.

Classes meet the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 1-3:30pm.
Where: Jan Helton Artworks Studio in St. Charles, MO (street address will be provided upon registration).
Cost: $25 per class
To register: Simply sign up one or two classes at a time (first come, first served) to reserve your space; payment in advance is required to hold your spot. For more information or to register, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
