Enjoy two days exploring the mysterious world of nocturnes with Illinois artist, Spencer Meagher. Because artificial and moonlight drastically alter our color perception, Spencer will help develop your understanding of color analysis in a night time setting. We will be working in the studio from photographs provided by Spencer and there will be plenty of demonstrations.
Special Opportunity: If weather permits we will do a plein aire nocturne the first evening. Artists interested in this will join me after dinner to paint downtown St. Charles. There is an additional $50 fee for participating in this aspect of the workshop. We will paint from approximately 6pm to 10pm. Minimum of 5 students required.
This will be an acrylic workshop (oil and watercolor welcome, just be aware of the different approaches). If you don’t have acrylic supplies, they can be purchased at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby. Supply list is found on MAOM website: www.maomgallery.com
