August 25, 2018
5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Washington University, Steinberg Gallery, Steinberg Hall.
Sponsored by the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.
Explore your artistic side during this evening of painting and sipping wine with watercolorist Marilynne Bradley (BFA 60). Bradley will illustrate specific techniques and provide one-on-one instruction as attendees create a still-life watercolor inspired by Henri Matisse’s Nature morte aux oranges (II) (c. 1899), in the Kemper Art Museum collection, as well as paintings by Paul Cézanne and Maurice Prendergast.
Bradley received her BFA from Washington University, MAT from Webster University, and MFA from Syracuse University. She is a member of the faculty of Webster University and the University of Missouri–Columbia and has led workshops at the Kansas City Art Institute, Saint Louis University, William Woods University, Columbia College, Washington University, and many national watercolor societies.
Ages 21 and up. This workshop is free and open to the public, but registration is required. The Museum will provide supplies, wine, and light bites. Museum members will also receive a sweet treat.
