Nature Journaling

We were honored to have Angie Jungbluth present Nature Journaling at our April 20th  membership meeting.  Here are some upcoming journaling events and links for future opportunities:

Nature Journaling: Spring Wildflowers
Location:  Rockwoods Reservation
2751 Glencoe Road, Wildwood, MO  63038
Date:  May 11, 2016, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
(Adults) Doodling, sketching, and fun are on the agenda as we explore spring wildflowers at Rockwoods Reservation. Learn to notice more as you challenge yourself with how much information about that flower you can put on paper. Our nature journaling series continues as we observe spring wildflowers, and utilize various methods to record different types of information about them on our journaling pages. Nature Journaling at Shaw Nature Reserve
Location: Shaw Nature Center
Hwy. 100 & I-44, Gray Summit, MO 63039
Date: Jun 01, 2016, 10:00 a.m. to Jun 02, 2016, 3:00 p.m.
(Adults 21 and up)  Prairies, wetlands, and woodlands offer a variety of nature journaling opportunities for this two day, overnight event at Shaw Nature Reserve! Missouri Department of Conservation Volunteer Naturalists, Angie Jungbluth and Pat Burrell-Standley, will provide guidance to help you utilize doodles, sketches, and writing to improve your observational skills while helping you create interesting and informative journal pages. We’ll then have the opportunity to try out these techniques as we explore Shaw Nature Reserve. All levels of artists, beginner to expert, are welcome. For Reservations call 636-441-4554, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm.  Reserve by May 25, 2016.
