Join Maggie McCarthy October 17, 2015 for a one day workshop at Audubon Center at the Riverlands Wild Bird Sanctuary in West Alton. We will be painting the Riverlands!
This one day workshop is all about the Riverlands and is designed for the experienced watercolor painter. No need to be an expert, just some experience in the medium is required. We will work indoors from our own source material or the instructor’s. A bit of walking around and taking cellphone, i-pad, or digital photos will happen, too. We will use this information to create our own compositions. The goal is to paint the feeling of the Riverlands and watercolor is the perfect medium to do that. A supply list will be provided upon registration.
Maggie has been painting for over 30 years and received her BFA in painting from the University of Oklahoma in 1995. She paints in all media but watercolor is her favorite and her favorite content is the landscape. She has received numerous awards in juried shows, art fairs and competitions and does about 8-10 art fairs a year. See her website for a selection of her work. www.maggiemcarthy.com
The fee is $55 per person with a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 10.
The date is Saturday, Oct. 17, 9-4 with an hour break for lunch.
Contact Maggie to register, mccarthyart@att.net, or phone 636-724-5968. $20 will hold your spot with the balance due the day of the workshop.
This will be fun. Hope you can come!
